The hotel features two outstanding restaurants.

Great Bay is a new seafood restaurant by Michael Schlow, owner/chef of Radius and Via Matta, both of which have won places on Gourmet Magazine's "Best American Restaurants" list.

Eastern Standard, a bistro by Garrett Harker, was described in Gourmet Magazine as "a welcoming, robust place that pleases everybody."

The hotel also includes a variety of fine shops and smaller eating and drinking places, including Truly Jorg's patisserie, The Foundation Lounge, Wine Gallery, Twig florists, Jean Therapy, Persona Jewelry, Hunt's Photo and Video, Nantucket Natural Oils, Century Bank, Panopticon photo gallery, Select Car Rental, and Commonwealth Books.

The Keefe Company is a partner in the development team that is built the hotel, and served as development advisor to Boston University, which owned much of the land on the hotel site.

The Keefe Company was also instrumental in securing $13 million in state funding for public improvements to Kenmore Square, including pedestrian improvements, a new MBTA bus station, and a new entrance to the Green Line subway station.
